Dear Students, We are delighted that you have chosen Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology Wroclaw University of Science and Technology! We wish you successful studies and a nice stay in our city!

At the Department of Foreign Languages we teach 7 languages: English, French, Spanish, Japanese, German, Polish and Russian.

The course levels are designed in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). You can choose courses at the following levels:

- Elementary A1 and A2
- Intermediate B1
- Upper-intermediate B2
- Advanced C1

Foreign languages in general

You are welcome to enrol in any language you want! We teach 7 languages: English, French, Spanish, Japanese, German, Polish and Russian

To determine your language proficiency level, you should take a placement test which is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Russian. The results of the test will indicate which course level you should choose. You will be given access to the placement test via email from the Department of Foreign Languages.

The current schedule (available also in English) of the foreign language classes can be found at AKZ, the University online schedule at http://akz.pwr.edu.pl/katalog_zap_en.html. Once you have chosen a suitable course, at the level established earlier during the placement test, you enroll in the course at DWM (Dział Współpracy Międzynarodowej – the International Office) via email sent at languages@pwr.edu.pl titled “TIMETABLE FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS 09_2018”. Please provide course name, course and group code, teacher’s name and your result of placement test. The deadline for enrollment is 14.09.2018 .

Please notice that generally courses at levels A1 and A2 are run in POLISH
