Academic calendar

Winter Semester 2017/2018

Organized classes commence on 2 Oct 2017 with an even week and last for 15 weeks (8 even weeks and 7 odd weeks), until 24 Jan 2018. Organized classes for first-cycle degree students of 7th semester last for 10 weeks (5 even weeks and 5 odd weeks), until 11 Dec 2017.

    1 Nov 2017 – All Saints Day
    11 Nov 2017 – Independence Day

The winter break lasts from 23 Dec 2017 to 2 Jan 2018.
The exam session lasts for 13 business days, from 25 Jan 2018 to 12 Feb 2018, including three Saturdays (27 Jan, 3 Feb and 10 Feb 2018). The exam session for first-cycle degree students of 7th semester lasts for 13 business days, from 12 Dec 2017 to 8 Jan 2018, including Saturday (16 Dec 2017).
The inter-semester break has 4 business days and lasts from 13 Feb 2018 to 16 Feb 2018.

    30 Oct 2017 (even Monday) – classes as on even Wednesday
    3 Jan 2018 (odd Wednesday) – classes as on even Monday
    18 Jan 2018 (odd Thursday) – classes as on even Thursday
    19 Jan 2018 (odd Friday) – classes as on even Friday

Summer Semester 2017/2018

Organized classes commence on 19 Feb 2018 with an even week and last for 15 weeks (8 odd weeks and 7 even weeks), until 18 Jun 2018.
    30 April 2018 – a day off
    1 May 2018 – Labour Day
    2 May 2018 – a day off
    3 May 2018 – Constitution Day
    4 May 2018 – a day off
    31 May 2018 – Corpus Christi
    1 Jun 2018 – a day off

The Easter break lasts from 29 March to 3 April 2018.
The exam session lasts for 13 business days, from 19 Jun 2018 to 5 July 2018, including two Saturdays (23 June, 30 June 2018).

Note the changes:
    26 Mar 2018 (odd Monday) – classes as on odd Friday
    30 May 2018 (even Wednesday) – classes as on odd Thursday
    4-8 Jun 2018 – classes as on even week
    11-15 Jun 2018 – classes as on odd week.
