On May 8, 2026, students from the “Górnik” Student Research Club operating at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology of Wrocław University of Science and Technology took part in the technical workshops entitled “LABtech – Competencies 5.0 and the Natural Resources Mining Industry”, held at the Academic Entrepreneurship Center of WUST in the Innovation and Business Center.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to combine engineering knowledge with a practical approach to modern technologies used in the mining industry. During the workshops, organized in cooperation with RoboKlocki, participants designed, built, and programmed a mining machine model using construction sets and programming tools.

The workshops enabled students to develop future-oriented competencies, including programming, process automation, creative problem-solving, and teamwork. It was also an inspiring experience demonstrating how modern technical education can support the development of skills essential for the rapidly evolving raw materials and mining sector.
