MSc in Geomatics for Mineral Resource Management

international Master’s programme with a double degree

The MSc in Geomatics for Mineral Resource Management is a four-semester, international Master’s programme taught in English, jointly delivered by the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany), with the possibility of cooperation with other European partner universities. The programme combines interdisciplinary knowledge in geomatics, geoinformatics, surveying, resource modelling, and mineral resource management.

Students begin their studies in Wrocław, while subsequent semesters are completed at TU Bergakademie Freiberg or at one of the partner universities in Europe. The programme concludes with the preparation of a Master’s thesis and the award of two Master’s degrees (from Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the partner foreign university).

The studies prepare graduates for careers in an international environment – from geoinformation and raw materials companies, through technical supervision institutions and public administration, to research and development centres, where advanced knowledge of the application of geomatic technologies in resource modelling and raw materials project management is required.

The programme is offered within the Mining and Geology degree taught in English and requires proficiency in English. Recruitment is conducted via the Wrocław University of Science and Technology admission system.
