On April 27–28, 2025, members of the GIS Scientific Research Club represented the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology of Wrocław University of Science and Technology at the jubilee 20th National Conference of Geodesy Students, held at Gdańsk University of Technology.

During the conference, students presented the results of their research projects in the form of both oral presentations and scientific posters.

Presentations:
Eng. Szymon Szczeciński – “Comparative analysis of active and passive sensors in remote sensing mapping of burned area extent”
Eng. Rafał Lucinkiewicz – “Development of a virtual tour of a part of the Muskau Arch Geopark with 3D AR visualization elements”

Posters:
Zuzanna Bednarska and Eng. Maciej Klossek – “The role of green-blue-grey infrastructure in the spatial structure of Wrocław – analysis of changes in 2012–2021”
Eng. Małgorzata Taratajcio – “The use of GIS technology to analyze the effects of extreme phenomena – a case study of historical floods and forecast scenarios in the Nysa Kłodzka river basin”
Eng. Wiktoria Sztadilów – “Spatio-temporal analysis of air pollution using ground-based and remote sensing data – a case study of Wrocław”

Academic supervision was provided by Dr Eng. Anna Kopeć, who also served as a member of the competition jury.

Participation in the conference was an excellent opportunity for students to learn about current research trends in geodesy and geoinformatics, exchange experiences, and integrate with the academic community from across Poland.

We congratulate all participants and wish them continued scientific success!
