Society of Mining Professors announces the first PhD Candidates Research Day
The purpose of the SOMP PhD Candidates Research Day is to recognize excellence in research in various mining-related fields.
The Research Day will provide an opportunity for the PhD Candidate to showcase their mining-related research in a visible setting and to compete for cash prizes based on the quality of their research and presentation as determined by a team of judges (SOMP mining professors). Research Day will also give networking opportunities for PhD Candidates, and to join a premier and vibrant Society representing the global mining-related community.
